About Northshore Watersport Rentals

Northshore Watersport Rentals is a family-owned business that has been a staple in Tempe Arizona since 2016. Located just steps away from the boat dock in the Tempe Town Lake Marina. Our prices are the best in the area, if you find someone cheaper we’ll match their pricing or beat them. Northshore has hosted corporate groups, ASU clubs, elementary and high school events, birthday parties, tourist groups, beginners, and so much more. Our goal is to be the first choice for any of your watersport or bike rental needs in the Tempe area.

Our Gear

Northshore uses high-quality stand-up paddleboards for our rentals made by Jimmy Styks. We have three models, Scout Extreme, Apex, and Steeler.  All three models are made with Iron Hide construction and are perfect for both beginner and expert boarders.

We have two brands for single kayak rentals, Pelican and Perception, the pelican models are Trailblazer NXT 100 and Bandit NXT 100. The perception models are the Joyride 10.0. There are two styles of kayaks sit-in and sit-on-top. Sit-in Kayaks are slightly easier due to your center of gravity being lower, while the sit-on-top will have more exposure to the sun for tanning. We can accommodate either style if you have a preference. All our kayaks are beginner kayaks, they’re designed to be harder to tip over and allow an enjoyable experience for anyone.

Double kayak rentals are Malibu Two Tandem kayaks made by Ocean Kayak. Ocean Kayak is a popular brand and you’ll see their equipment in a lot of shops and rental stores for a reason. If you’re looking for a fun time with a partner this is the best option for you.

Both our men’s and woman’s bicycle rentals are made by GT. Northshore Watersport Rentals has selected the Men’s Aggressor Pro and the Women’s Laguna Pro mountain bikes for our rental options. Please note, that these bikes are NOT suitable for mountain biking but are suitable for any other bike path.  There are a lot of paths to choose from. Tempe and Scottsdale are great biking cities with many bike lanes to get anywhere. Most people choose to bike around Tempe Town Lake, Papago Park, or the Greenway Belt.  All three of these paths start very close to Northshore’s shop.

Yes, you may. Transporting and loading the equipment is your responsibility.
